The ants are a people not strong; yet they prepare their meat in the summer;
30:26沙番是软弱之类,却在磐石中造房。
The conies are but a feeble folk; yet make they their houses in the rocks;
30:27蝗虫没有君王,却分队而出。
The locusts have no king; yet go they forth all of them by bands;
30:28守宫用爪抓墙,却住在王宫。
The spider taketh hold with her hands; and is in kings' palaces。
30:29步行威武的有三样,连行走威武的共有四样。
There be three things which go well; yea; four are ely in going:
30:30就是狮子乃百兽中最为猛烈,无所躲避的。
A lion which is strongest among beasts; and turneth not away for any;
30:31猎狗,公山羊,和无人能敌的君王。
A greyhound; an he goat also; and a king; against whom there is no rising up。
30:32你若行事愚顽,自高自傲,或是坏了恶念,就当用手捂口。
If thou hast done foolishly in lifting up thyself; or if thou hast thought evil; lay thine hand upon thy mouth。
30:33摇牛奶必成奶油。扭鼻子必出血。照样,激动怒气必起争端。
Surely the churning of milk bringeth forth butter; and the wringing of the nose bringeth forth blood: so the forcing of wrath bringeth forth strife。

31:1利慕伊勒王的言语,是他母亲教训他的真言。
The words of king Lemuel; the prophecy that his mother taught him。
31:2我的儿阿,我腹中生的儿阿,我许愿得的儿阿,我当怎样教训你呢。
What; my son? and what; the son of my womb? and what; the son of my vows?
31:3不要将你的精力给妇女,也不要有败坏君王的行为。
Give not thy strength unto women; nor thy ways to that which destroyeth kings。
31:4利慕伊勒阿,君王喝酒,君王喝酒不相宜。王子说,浓酒在那里也不相宜。
It is not for kings; O Lemuel; it is not for kings to drink wine; nor for princes strong drink:
31:5恐怕喝了就忘记律例,颠倒一切困苦人的是非。
Lest they drink; and forget the law; and pervert the judgment of any of the afflicted。
31:6可以把浓酒给将亡的人喝。把清酒给苦心的人喝。
Give strong drink unto him that is ready to perish; and wine unto those that be of heavy hearts。
31:7让他们喝了,就忘记他的贫穷,不在记念他的苦楚。
Let him drink; and forget his poverty; and remember his misery no more。
31:8你当为哑吧(或作不能自辨的)开口,为一切孤独的伸冤。
Open thy mouth for the dumb in the cause of all such as are appointed to destruction。
31:9你当开口按公义判断,为困苦和穷乏的辨屈。
Open thy mouth; judge righteously; and plead the cause of the poor and needy。
31:10才德的妇人,谁能得着呢,他的价值胜过珍珠。
Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies。
31:11他丈夫心里倚靠他,必不缺少利益。
The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her; so that he shall have no need of spoil。
31:12他一生使丈夫有益无损。
She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life。
31:13他寻梢羊绒和麻,甘心用手作工。
She seeketh wool; and flax; and worketh willingly with her hands。
31:14他好像商船从远方运粮来。
She is like the merchants' ships; she bringeth her food from afar。
31:15未到黎明他就起来,把食物分给家中的人。将当作的工分派婢女。
She riseth also while it is yet night; and giveth meat to her household; and a portion to her maidens。
31:16他想得田地,就买来。用手所的之利,栽种葡萄园。
She considereth a field; and buyeth it: with the fruit of her hands she planteth a vineyard。
31:17他以能力束腰,使膀臂有力。
She girdeth her loins with strength; and strengtheneth her arms。
31:18他觉得所经营的有利,他的灯终夜不灭。
She perceiveth that her merchandise is good: her candle goeth not out by night。
31:19他手拿捻线竿。手把纺线车。
She layeth her hands to the spindle; and her hands hold the distaff。
31:20他张手周济困苦人,伸手帮补穷乏人。
She stretcheth out her hand to the poor; yea; she reacheth forth her hands to the needy。
31:21他不因下雪为家里的人担心,因为全家都穿着朱红衣服。
She is not afraid of the snow for her household: for all her household are clothed with scarlet。
31:22他为自己制作绣花毯子,他的衣服,是细麻和紫色布作的。
She maketh herself coverings of tapestry; her clothing is silk and purple。
31:23他丈夫在城门口与本地的长老同坐,为众人所认识。
Her husband is known in the gates; when he sitteth among the elders of the land。
31:24他作细麻衣裳出卖。又将腰带卖与商家。
She maketh fine linen; and selleth it; and delivereth girdles unto the merchant。
31:25能力和威仪,是他的衣服。他想到日后的景况就喜笑。
Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to e。
31:26他开口就发智慧。他舌上有仁慈的法则。
She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness。
31:27他观察家务,并不吃闲饭。
She looketh well to the ways of her household; and eateth not the bread of idleness。
31:28他的儿女起来称他有福。他的丈夫也称赞他,
Her children arise up; and call her blessed; her husband also; and he praiseth her。
31:29说,才德的女子很多,惟独你超过一切。
Many daughters have done virtuously; but thou excellest them all。
31:30艳丽是虚假的。美容是虚浮的。惟敬畏耶和华的妇女,必得称赞。
Favour is deceitful; and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD; she shall be praised。
31:31愿他享受操作所得的。愿他的工作,在城门口荣耀他。
Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates。

1:1在耶路撒冷作王,大卫的儿子,传道者的言语。
The words of the Preacher; the son of David; king in Jerusalem。
1:2传道者说,虚空的虚空,虚空的虚空。凡事都是虚空。
Vanity of vanities; saith the Preacher; vanity of vanities; all is vanity。
1:3人一切的劳碌,就是他在日光之下的劳碌,有什么益处呢。
What profit hath a man of all his labour which he taketh under the sun?
1:4一代过去,一代又来。地却永远长存。
One generation passeth away; and another generation eth: but the earth abideth for ever。
1:5日头出来,日头落下,急归所出之地。
The sun also ariseth; and the sun goeth down; and hasteth to his place where he arose。
1:6风往南刮,又向北转,不住的旋转,而且返回转行原道。
The wind goeth toward the south; and turneth about unto the north; it whirleth about continually; and the wind returneth again according to his circuits。
1:7江河都往海里流,海却不满。江河从何处流,仍归何处。
All the rivers run into the sea; yet the sea is not full; unto the place from whence the rivers e; thither they return again。
1:8万事令人厌烦。(或作万物满有困乏)人不能说尽。眼看,看不饱,耳听,听不足。
All things are full of labour; man cannot utter it: the eye is not satisfied with seeing; nor the ear filled with hearing。
1:9已有的事,后必再有。已行的事,后必再行。日光之下并无新事。
The thing that hath been; it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun。
1:10岂有一件事人能指着说,这是新的。那知,在我们以前的世代,早已有了。
Is there any thing whereof it may be said; See; this is new? it hath been already of old time; which was before us。
1:11已过的世代,无人记念,将来的世代,后来的人也不记念。
There is no remembrance of former things; neither shall there be any remembrance of things that are to e with those that shall e after。
1:12我传道者在耶路撒冷作过以色列的王。
I the Preacher was king over Israel in Jerusalem。
1:13我专心用智慧寻求查究天下所作的一切事,乃知神叫世人所经练的,是极重的劳苦。
And I gave my heart to seek and search out by wisdom concerning all things that are done under heaven: this sore travail hath God given to the sons of man to be exercised therewith。
1:14我见日光之下所作的一切事,都是虚空,都是捕风。
I have seen all the works that are done under the sun; and; behold; all is vanity and vexation of spirit。
1:15弯曲的不能变直,缺少的不能足数。
That which is crooked cannot be made straight: and that which is wanting cannot be numbered。
1:16我心里议论,说,我得了大智慧,胜过我以前在耶路撒冷的众人。而且我心中多经历智慧,和知识的事。
I muned with mine own heart; saying; Lo; I am e to great estate; and have gotten more wisdom than all they that have been before me in Jerusalem: yea; my heart had great experience of wisdom and knowledge。
1:17我又专心察明智慧,狂妄,和愚昧。乃知道也是捕风。
And I gave my heart to know wisdom; and to know madness and folly: I perceived that this also is vexation of spirit。
1:18因为多有智慧,就多有愁烦。加增知识的,就加增忧伤。
For in much wisdom is much grief: and he that increaseth knowledge increaseth sorrow。

2:1我心里说,来吧,我以喜乐试试你,你好享福。谁知道,这也是虚空。
I said in mine heart; Go to now; I will prove thee with mirth; therefore enjoy pleasure: and; behold; this also is vanity。
2:2我指嬉笑说,这是狂妄。论喜乐说,有何功效呢。
I said of laughter; It is mad: and of mirth; What doeth it?
2:3我心里察究,如何用酒使我肉体舒畅,我心却仍以智慧引导我。又如何持住愚昧,等我看明世人,在天下一生当行何事为美。
I sought in mine heart to give myself unto wine; yet acquainting mine heart with wisdom; and to lay hold on folly; till I might see what was that good for the sons of men; which they should do under the heaven all the days of their life。
2:4我为自己动大工程,建造房屋,栽种葡萄园,
I made me great works; I builded me houses; I planted me vineyards:
2:5修造园囿,在其中栽种各样果木树,
I made me gardens and orchards; and I planted trees in them of all kind of fruits:
2:6挖造水池,用以浇灌嫩小的树木。
I made me pools of water; to water therewith the wood that bringeth forth trees:
2:7我买了仆婢,也有生在家中的仆婢。又有许多牛群羊群,胜过以前在耶路撒冷众人所有的。
I got me servants and maidens; and had servants born in my house; also I had great possessions of great and small cattle above all that were in Jerusalem before me:
2:8我又为自己积蓄金银,和君王的财宝,并各省的财宝。又得唱歌的男女,和世人所喜爱的物,并许多的妃嫔。
I gathered me also silver and gold; and the peculiar treasure of kings and of the provinces: I gat me men singers and women singers; and the delights of the sons of men; as musical instruments; and that of all sorts。
2:9这样,我就日见昌盛,胜过以前在耶路撒冷的众人。我的智慧仍然存留。
So I was great; and increased more than all that were before me in Jerusalem: also my wisdom remained with me。
2:10凡我眼所求的,我没有留下不给他的。我心所乐的,我没有禁止不享受的。因我的心为我一切所劳碌的快乐。这就是我从劳碌中所得的分。
